I grew up in west Tennessee an hour north of Graceland (home of Elvis) and twenty minutes from Nutbush (birthplace of Tina Turner). I've been a reporter, editor, photographer and door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman.
I now live in a Wisconsin town famous for trolls, write before six in the morning and try to teach my two kids to act like they've been to town before.

One Comment on “Read chapter one of The Sword-Edged Blonde”
Hey Alex,
I picked up your book Sword-Edged Blonde on a whim while in the PX (Postal Exchange, the place where we buy stuff). Not a lot of quality reading material, that doesn't involve imagery you might find in the Dragonfly, when you're deployed to Baghdad, Iraq. If one had to compare, I would call the story a: Feist meets Butcher heroic detective adventure! If not forced to compare, I'd say you had a totally unique style with a gift for witticism!
Thanks for the great read. Looking forward to the next book. I might even be back in the states to see it come out!
